SURE DEODORANT BREAKFAST WITH DR CHRISTIAN JESSEN

Earlier last month, the lovely girls at Sure invited me down to Bourne & Hollingsworth for breakfast and to discuss everything related to deodorant with Dr Christian Jessen. Since breakfast is probably my favourite meal of the day and Sure is a brand I use daily, off I trotted to Farringdon.

After ordering my tea, I was actually fortunate to be sat opposite Dr Christian Jessen and I was really wowed by his knowledge on what seemed like everything

I’ve been using Sure for many years but have just started using Sure Antibacterial Odour Protection.

I’ll admit I haven’t given my deodorant too much thought; I know that Sure works so I have stuck to it for many years but for anyone in need of a little extra help, the antibacterial properties in this product are amazing, especially since up to 10 million bacteria live in our underarms. Sure Antibacterial Odour Protection is designed to reduce up to 90% of odour causing bacteria.

Dr Christian spoke a lot about deodorant and antiperspirant, and being in the beauty community, we all wanted to know about aluminium. I read so many articles suggesting you shouldn’t use antiperspirants with aluminium so it was great to hear that there hasn’t been anything to prove it is linked to cancer. And did you know that what you eat also affects how you smell?! So eating onions and garlic can scent the sweat coming out of you pores, which is worrying as I love garlic but thankfully have had no such experience.

I’ll admit that deodorant and sweaty underarms isn’t my usual topic of choice over breakfast but his knowledge was really impressive, even over a cup of tea and muesli. I’ve been using the Sure Antibacterial Odour Protection ever since and really loving it! The 75ml compressed can is perfect for travel/my handbag and I’ve even had to share it with my boyfriend.

THE PERFECT SUMMER CHEEK

The new Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-cheek palette has been in my everyday routine for a few weeks now and I’ve fallen so in love with it that I feel it needs it’s own blog post.

There have been quite a few blush palettes pop up this season but I love that this one has a highlighter. blush and bronzer/contour powder.

The blush takes pride position in the middle of the palette and is a medium, warm, rosy pink with very fine golden sheen. The coverage isn’t too opaque which is why I have been loving it, it adds a great rosy glow without being over the top. The contour/bronzer shade is also a similar sheerer product which looks really natural, it’s supposed to be a contour shade but I think it’s a little orange for a contour and works really well as a bronzer, adding a beautiful natural sheen to the skin. Sticking with the semi-sheer theme is the highlighter, a warm soft being with a beautiful luminous finish, this isn’t for you super-strobing-queens but more for those looking for a more natural alternative.

I’ve been reaching for it so much as it really adds that low-from-within look, natural but pretty. No need for extreme blending or even spending too much time, just perfectly bronzed, blushed and highlighted cheeks effortlessly. Particularly good for fairer skins but since the bronzer is quite light I would avoid if you’re a little darker.

I’m not really saying this palette is a must have or life-changing but it is beautiful and if you’re looking to add a little more glow to your summer makeup without adding too much time, this is the palette I would go for!

PS. Whilst searching for a link I realised this product has sold out online (good sign) but should still be available in store, it’s worth having a good look for one.
